Capability-Based Readiness

DRRS enables COCOM, Service, and Combat Support Agency Headquarters to assess all current missions as well as any future missions. This allows for capturing the highest strategic level readiness data from a headquarters perspective.

Mission Management

Mission Management is the first step in the ESORTS process and consists of the creation and assignment of missions to units. Missions created in DRRS are representations of the actual DoD missions assigned to forces or the planned missions for which readiness assessment is sought.

Missions are globally accessible by all units so that they can be created once and utilized by however many units require it.

Mission Essential Task List (METL) Building

A Mission Essential Task List (METL) is the complete list of the Mission Essential Tasks (METs) assigned to a unit. The ESORTS Build METL tool allows you to create METs for each mission assigned to your unit, which together constitute that unit's METL.

A MET is the identification of the task most essential to a unit's assigned or anticipated missions, derived from the force commander's plans and orders, with respect to existing conditions and expected performance standards.

Mission Readiness

Provides the ability to assess a change in unit Mission and MET capability within 24 hours of change or show change at an anticipated future date, based on analysis of readiness metrics available in DRRS. It enables commanders to obtain known and anticipated changes in unit status of interest to higher echelons.
